Colophon

The Keepers of This Codex

This codex began at a tabletop, between a stack of character sheets and a battered controller. Its keepers are a small group of players, game masters and fiction writers who kept having the same conversation: why do some invented worlds stay with us for years, and others vanish the moment the credits roll?

Paradepalslunartinkr is our attempt to answer that question in public, slowly and with care. We write long-form essays rather than lists, and every chapter tries to leave you with something practical to take back to your own notebook, campaign or prototype.

What We Believe

  • Story first, then craft. We start with the experience of playing, then show how it was made.
  • Concrete over vague. If we recommend a technique, we name an example and explain how to try it.
  • Small teams deserve close reading. Indie worlds are often the most carefully authored ones.
  • Accuracy matters. We check release years, credits and quotations, and correct mistakes openly.

Independence

We are fully independent. Paradepalslunartinkr is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any developer, publisher, storefront or platform mentioned on this site. We do not accept payment for coverage, and game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only for commentary and education.

How We Choose What to Cover

We select games, books and tools that demonstrate a worldbuilding or character technique clearly enough to teach. Popularity is not a criterion; a quiet game with one brilliant idea earns its place as readily as a celebrated one.
